Bernard Meadows
Bernard Meadows sculpture
Bernard Meadows [1915-2005] - We specialise in the work of this artist and usually have sculpture and drawings for sale - we are also keen to buy his work.
He studied at the Royal College of Art, later becoming the Professor of Sculpture from 1960 to 1980. There have been many one-man exhibitions of his work, particularly in the USA and UK. Meadows represented his country twice at the Venice Biennale in 1952 and 1964. Public collections include MOMA [NY], the Solomon Guggenheim Museum [NY] and the Tate Gallery [London] who own many of his pieces. A book containing a complete catalogue of Bernard Meadows sculpture was written by Sir Alan Bowness and published in 1995 by Lund Humphries.
